This former Best Western is so cool and modern after a major redo by the Dodd Mitchell Design team. The Thompson is the sister to Manhattan’s 60 Thompson and is in the same hotel family as The Roosevelt . The ABH (Above Beverly Hills) Bar is the happening (guest-only) two-level rooftop area with a heated Swarovski-lined pool and private cabanas. Here you can sip frozen guava margaritas and chow down on BondSt sushi, while overlooking the city.
The modern, minimalist rooms start at $299/night. If you are anything like me, you may be tempted to dance on the bed or nightstand with those disco ball lights and mirrors all around.
